San Diego Chapter

The Commanderie de Bordeaux à San Diego was established in 2004 and since its initial Parlement and Intronization (induction) of 10 members, the Chapter has grown to its current total of 28 Commandeurs (Members).

The Commanderie - San Diego holds four parlements per year. Each parlement is a wine and cuisine event,  where members and their guests enjoy Bordeaux wines thoughtfully paired with a guest chef's unique menu creations. These parlements are held at the finest restaurants and private clubs in San Diego.  In addition, there are three education events annually where members gain knowledge and hone their tasting skills and palates,  while learning more about the Bordeaux region and culture.

The Commanderie chapter of San Diego falls under the auspices of La Commanderie de Bordeaux aux États-Unis d'Amérique which offers additional opportunities to commandeurs across the country, such as Bordeaux winemaker led tastings orchestrated from Bordeaux LIVE via ZOOM, complete with chateau packaged wine samples express mailed to participating commandeurs around the country, in advance. Mondiale celebrations hosted by Le Grand Conseil des Vins de Bordeaux every two years, give commandeurs from chapters around the world a chance to meet, wine and dine in historic chateaux and other unforgettable sites around the Bordeaux wine region. The San Diego Commanderie's local activities are directed and guided by the chapter's "Le Conseil" -- or board of directors -- comprised of local commandeur-directors.  The San Diego chapter membership attracts male and female oenophiles from across "America's Finest City".
