About the event

The 1998 vintage highly favored Cabernet Franc and Merlot blends from vineyards situated on Bordeaux's Right Bank.

Join fellow Commandeurs on Wednesday, June 19th to revisit this storied vintage with Éducateur Matt Warter leading the charge at the Battle of Saint-Émilion vs. Pomerol: The 1998 Vintage - a Quarter Century in Bottle!

A new venue for the Commanderie, Green Acres is a contemporary café offering farm-to-table fare in a rustic-chic space with outdoor seating. Two days away from the Summer Solstice, June 19th is one of the longest days of the year and we're looking forward to a beautiful evening overlooking the wild flowers and verdure of Sorrento Canyon. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis to 24 Commandeurs.

Dress is comfortable, casual attire and Commanderie pocket crests. Jackets recommended as a light breeze is typical in the evening.

Class begins promply at 6:00 pm, and we will finish up by 8:30 pm. Classroom style seating will be in a sheltered, outdoor space, with heaters as necessary.

Event sponsors are Matt and Marcela Warter and Lynn Lathrop.

Cost: $160.00 for Commandeurs
