About the event

We're looking forward to a very special evening of Bordeaux wine from Château Lagrange, Saint-Julien, a troisième Grand Cru Classé estate in the famous 1855 classification. Joining us will be Monsieur Matthieu Bordes, General Manager of the estate, who will lead us through a multi-vintage vertical of these beautiful Château wines. We've also included one of the few white wines of Saint-Julien, Les Arums de Lagrange.

Bistro du Marché is opening its restaurant exclusively for our group on this Sunday evening, commencing at 6:00 p.m., with our traditional Champagne reception accompanied by tray-passed hors d'ouevres. Dinner seating is at 6:30 p.m.

A fresh and classically French menu has been created by Chef Jean-Michel Diot and Cheffe Amélie Gadoum to be paired with the evening's wines.

Winemaker Parlements are a chapter favorite. Our special guest, Matthieu Bordes, promises to give us a unique and personal perspective on both the wine and the region on which forms our camaraderie.

A majority of the wines we'll be enjoying have been graciously donated by Château Lagrange for this event.

A big thank you to Commandeur Scott Sugarman for helping with what is sure to be a fabulous Parlement!

A little bit about our featured wine: Château Lagrange's slopes are well placed at the highest elevation of the Saint Julien appellation and are made up of gravel, sand and clay soils as well as some deposits of iron. Their vineyards neighbor Châteaux Gruaud Larose, Branaire Ducru and Ducru Beaucaillou. The largest single vineyard in the Medoc, Château Lagrange has 280 acres (110 ha) of gravelly vineyard planted to 65% cabernet sauvignon, 28% merlot and 7% petit verdot.

Dresses or slacks for the Ladies. Sports jackets for the Gents; ties are optional.

Embroidered Commanderie crests and name badges please.

Cost: $245.00 - Commandeurs/Spouses/Partners/Guests
